Chief among them is Jack Wilshere, whilst Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey, Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs are Arsenal’s other British starlets the club is hopeful of signing up. The other, Theo Walcott, is delaying on whether to agree a new deal.
Manager Arsene Wenger said: “We have a good core of English players. We could not keep the core of foreign players [at the club] but I hope we can build a team around these English players.”
