Atletico Mineiro progress to Libertadores final

Atletico Mineiro made it to the final of the Copa Libertadores as they beat Newell’s Old Boys on penalties on Wednesday night.

Needing to overturn a 2-0 first leg deficit, Atletico did exactly that to send the game to extra time and then penalties.

In the end it was Ronaldinho’s penalty which secured their progress because of goalkeeper Vitor’s subsequent save from Maxi Rodriguez’s spot kick.
