Bale delight at Wales comeback

Gareth Bale was thrilled to help lead Wales to a crucial 2-1 win over Scotland in the World Cup qualification campaign.

The result gives Wales a faint glimmer of hope in Group A of European qualifying, as Bale scored twice late on.

“We needed it, it’s a kickstart to our campaign, hopefully it can inspire us now for the matches ahead”, Bale told the BBC.

“We all knew coming in it was a massive game for us. We let ourselves down as well as the nation last time out”, he added.

“We went a goal down but we fought back like men and it was a great result.”
