Barcelona look to tie down new Messi contract

Barcelona are keen to tie Leo Messi to a new contract to keep him in Catalonia until 2018.

The Catalan radio station RAC 1 reported that the club’s President Sandro Rossell is looking to get the player to sign a new contract soon.

Messi scored 73 goals for Barcelona last season and has started this campaign in similarly ruthless form.
