Ribery has stated he would like to leave the club in the summer and has been linked with several clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.
“We are not going to let a player like Ribery go, especially as he has a contract with two-and-a-half years left on it,” Rummenigge stated.
“When you have a player like this at your club you do not want to see him leave.
“He is a fans’ favourite because of his spectacular displays, his ability and the success that he looks capable of bringing to the team.
“You do not sell players like that, you guard them very closely.”
