Boumsong joined Juventus in August 2006, for a fee of £3.26 million.
Boumsong told L’Equipe: “I don’t have the impression that I’m playing in Serie B.
“I’m playing for Juve. I’m at a great club. I’ve been offered a medium-term challenge and I have the feeling that it will not slow down my progress.
“Juve’s place is not in Serie B and you don’t say ‘no’ to Juve.”
