Buffon targets Champions League

Gianluigi Buffon has his eyes set on Champions League glory with Juventus this season.

Juventus return to the Champions League after winning Serie A unbeaten last year, but coach Antonio Conte is currently serving a 10 month ban as part of the Italian match fixing scandal.

He was found guilty of failing to report match fixing whilst he was manager of Siena.

“There was a desire to get back into the Champions League,” Buffon said. “And we earned that right with what we did on the pitch.

“It’s the right reward for a side who last season achieved something great.”
