Cisse has been on loan at Marseille this season.
He said: “I really want to go back to Liverpool – for the fans and for my family.
“I have everything there. It’s a very special place and the fans are amazing. When you play for Liverpool you are playing for the Kop.
“I am waiting to hear but my priority is to go back there – and if not there somewhere in the Premier League.”
