Colombia continue good form

Colombia completed a superb week as they beat Chile 3-1 in Santiago in a World Cup qualifier.

That impressive win came on the back of a 4-0 thrashing of Copa America champions Uruguay, and they are now just a point behind group leaders Argentina.

“The team were confident despite falling behind in the first half,” Colombia coach Jose Pekerman said.

“This (confidence) has been very positive for us and confirms the team has potential. This is one of the hardest matches you’ll get in the qualifiers.”
