Corini leaves Chievo

Eugenio Corini has left Chievo Verona despite leading the Italian side to 12th place in Serie A this season.

Corini becomes the third manager to leave his post since the Serie A season finished, following Napoli’s Walter Mazzarri and Inter’s Andrea Stramaccioni, whom Mazzarri replaced.

“After having reached the agreed objective of 12th spot in Serie A, Chievo and Eugenio Corini have decided together to not renew their contract for 2013/14,” a club statement read.
