Drogba keen on new Chelsea deal

Ivory Coast international striker Didier Drogba has revealed he would like to finish his career at Chelsea.

Drogba’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and the Blues have reportedly offered the 33-year-old a 12-month extension.

He told the Sunday Mirror: “I said a few years ago that I will be here until the end of my contract. But I would like to finish my career here. We are continuing talks.

“Everybody knows what I feel about Chelsea and what I want.”

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas added: “He knows our offer and he has made a counter offer.

“We are now waiting on things.”
