England fans ready to miss birth of their first child

A recent survey, conducted on behalf of online bookmaker PartyBets.com, has revealed that one in five England fans would be prepared to miss birth of their first child to cheer England to World Cup Glory.

The survey revealed just how desperate England fans are to see the Three Lions win the World Cup for the first time since 1966.

In total, 20.2 per cent of respondents admitted that they would prefer watching England in the World Cup rather than see the birth of their first son or daughter.

25.3 per cent of respondents were ready to miss the funeral of a friend or family member in order to watch England in the World Cup final in Johannesburg. 29.3 per cent of respondents would be prepared to miss or cancel their own wedding.

54.5 per cent of respondents would prefer to go on a first date with pop star Cheryl Cole rather than watch England in the World Cup final.

Spokesman for online bookmaker PartyBets.com Warren Lush said: “It seems like the Ashley versus Cheryl debate permeates every area of life. Over half the people surveyed said they would rather go on a first date with Cheryl than cheer on Ashley in an England World Cup Final team. It just goes to show how much she has the X Factor.”
