Everton and Hull join Newcastle in race for Man City midfielder

Everton, Hull and Crystal Palace have reportedly joined Newcastle in the race for Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim.

The 22-year-old midfielder has impressed while on loan at Norwegian side Stromsgodset this season.

The Daily Star reports that Sevilla, Espanyol, Real Betis, Lyon, Lille, Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are all interested in signing the midfielder.

Ibrahim has been compared to former Manchester City and Arsenal star Patrick Vieira.

Reports claim Ibrahim might yet be tempted to sign a permanent deal with Stromsgodset when his loan contract expires.

“I think it is speculation,” stated Stromsgodset sports director Jostein Flo to VG.

“I will have a meeting with (Manchester) City in two or three weeks and then we will probably hear more.

“He is on loan with us until the end of the year, but we would like to keep him.”
