Everton defender confident on new deal

Everton defender Sylvain Distin is confident he will agree a new contract with the Premier League side.

The 35-year-old’s current contract expires at the end of the season and he is keen to sign a new deal with the club.

“My contract is up at the end of the season, there is nothing more. I want to stay,” Distin told the Daily Star.

“It seems like the club wants me to stay so I am sure we will find a solution.”
