FA reject Terry criticism

The FA have rejected John Terry’s claim that his position with England was made untenable by their investigation into him.

Terry is currently facing censure over using racially charged language to QPR’s Anton Ferdinand – something the Chelsea man denies using maliciously.

He quit international football on Sunday saying the FA had made his position untenable.

“It’s a personal decision. I don’t see how we have made it untenable, they are two very separate processes,” Horne said.

“It’s something that happened in a match – it shouldn’t be taking a year to resolve but we feel we are reaching a conclusion on that.”
