IF MICHAEL Owen joins Manchester United he will only be second favourite to be top Premiership scorer for them, say bookmakers William Hill, who are making Owen 9/4 to be United's top scorer of Premiership goals, for which Wayne Rooney is 13/8 favourite. Hills also offer: 9/4 Berbatov; 16/1Giggs: Macheda: 20/1 Welbeck.

Hills also make Owen 10/1 to win the Premiership Golden Boot.

Hills are also betting on how many games Owen will start for United in the Premiership next season, and offer 6/4 that it will be 11-15 inclusive; 13/8 6-10; 11/2 0-5; 7/1 16-20; 10/1 21-25; 20/1 26+.

Owen has been cut from 7/2 to 7/4 by Hills to get into the England 2010 World Cup squad.

'Owen has always been a class act, but his past couple of seasons have been blighted by injury and lack of service. If he is fit there are few better pure strikers than Owen' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
