Re: Champions League picks and previews 2010-11
Champions League picks and previews 2 and 3 November - Tuesday - Kazan - Panathinaikos Panathinaikos are at the bottom of Group D and I expect the Russian hosts to be able to win this game. Kazan to win. Benfica - Lyon Lyon have been very strong in the Champions League this season and are almost sure to go through to the next stage. I expect this to be a close one. Less than 2.5 goals. Bremen - Twente Bremen have failed to impress me so far this season, but I believe they could manage to win this meeting with Twente at home. Bremen to win. Bursaspor - Manchester United Manchester United have shown good form recently and I expect them to be able to win this game like they did in their meeting with Bursaspor at Old Trafford. Manchester United to win. FC Copenhagen - Barcelona Barcelona are at the top of Group D, but were actually a bit lucky to get a win against FC Copenhagen at home. This could be entertaining and the Danes could get something. More than 2.5 goals. H. Tel Aviv - Schalke H. Tel Aviv have failed to impress me so far this season in the Champions League and I believe the visitors from Germany will win this game. Schalke to win. Tottenham - Inter Inter failed to impress me in the second half against Spurs in their last meeting and I believe the hosts could get something from this one. More than 2.5 goals. Valencia - Rangers Rangers are undefeated so far in the Champions League this season, but I expect them to struggle in this game. Less than 2.5 goals. - Wednesday - AC Milan - Real Madrid Real Madrid are at the top of Group G and had no problems beating AC Milan at home. I believe the visitors could win this one as well. Less than 2.5 goals. Auxerre - Ajax Auxerre are at the bottom of Group G and I believe Ajax have a good chance of winning this meeting as well. Ajax to win. Basel - AS Roma Basel managed to beat Roma in the last game, but I believe the Italians could manage to bounce back in this one. More than 2.5 goals. CFR Cluj - Bayern Bayern are at the top of Group E, with three wins so far. CFR Cluj have failed to impress me and I expect Bayern to win this game. Bayern to win. Chelsea - Sp. Moscow Chelsea have three wins from three games so far and I expect them to have no problems at all winning this game as well. Chelsea to win with 0-1 handicap. Partizan - Braga Partizan are at the bottom of Group H and Sporting Braga could manage to get something from this meeting with the Serbian side. Draw. Shakhtar - Arsenal Arsenal are at the top of Group H with three wins from three games so far. I believe they could win this one as well, but I believe many goals is the best pick. More than 2.5 goals. Zilina - Marseille Marseille should be able to beat the weakest team of Group F in this game. The French side are clearly stronger. Marseille to win.
