Do you believe Gyan can impress as much as he did for Ghana at the World Cup, for Sunderland this season in the Premier League?

Or was he a poor signing by Steve Bruce?

Re: Gyan a hit at Sunderland?

A bit expensive? YEah probably. But the guy is tailor made for the premiership. Strong as an ox, tall and a decent scorer, if not flamboyant. I think in an year or two sunderland will find it hard to keep him.

Re: Gyan a hit at Sunderland?

he is overrated.
he will play at mid level clubs like sunderland and stoke and won;t score much.
i dont know how he will fit in with darren bent in a partnership.
as a finisher, bent needs to play with a more creative striker and gyan isn't creative at all.

Re: Gyan a hit at Sunderland?

what makes me wanna doubt this move is the fact that sunderland midfield doesnt offer any service to their targetmen. Bent scores his goals either on through balls or from goal mouth scrambles. More tradiotional big strikers need crosses to score from headers. Sunderland has poor wingers.

Re: Gyan a hit at Sunderland?

guy scored on debut
cant ask much more than that
i was impressed by his hold up play to be honest but they will only bully at home
sunderland will be a bad travelling team
