Portsmouth: Centre-backs Sol Campbell (Achilles) and Linvoy Primus (knee) are confident of passing late fitness checks. Svetoslav Todorov is still out with knee trouble but Sean Davis is available again after missing last week’s goalless draw at Aston Villa with a virus. Skipper Dejan Stefanovic is expected to keep out ex-Liverpool defender Djimi Traore at left back, while boss Harry Redknapp has to
decide whether to recall on-loan Glen Johnson after solid performances by Lauren at right-back.

Squad: James; Lauren, Primus, Campbell, Stefanovic, O’Neil, Davis, Hughes, Taylor, Benjani, Kanu, Johnson, LuaLua, Traore, Pamarot, Kranjcar, Mvuemba, Ashdown.

Liverpool: Boss Rafa Benitez will rest a string of stars ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea.
Skipper Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Jose Reina do not travel and it is unlikely Xabi Alonso or Daniel Agger will figure in the side.It means Jerzy Dudek, Robbie Fowler and Bolo Zenden - all out of contract in the summer - will play. Steve Finnan is still out with a neck injury.

Squad: Dudek, Arbeloa, Paletta, Hyypia, Riise, Zenden, Sissoko, Mascherano, Pennant, Bellamy, Kuyt, Fowler, Crouch, Padelli, Gonzalez, Anderson, Alonso, Agger.
