Fulham set to rival Sunderland in bid to sign midfielder

Fulham are reportedly set to go head-to-head with Sunderladn in a bid to sign Venezuelan midfielder Tomas Rincon.

Rincon’s current contract with Bundesliga outfit Hamburg is set to expire at the end of the season.

The Sun reports that Fulham and Sunderland could land the midfielder in a cut-price deal in January.

Hamburg could be tempted to sell the 25-year-old for around £2.2million in January, rather than risk losing Rincon on a free next summer.
