Hoeness hails ‘superiority’ after win

Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness has said that the club are now back at the top of German football after their win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Dortmund were knocked out of the German Cup 1-0 by Bayern, who are 17 points clear in the league too.

“The issue about supremacy in Germany has now been cleared. I had asked myself how I will survive this game,” Hoeness confessed.

“But it worked out fine because the team played very well. We have now taken a big step to be back at the very top in Germany.”
