Juventus star reveals reason why he left Man Utd

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed the reason why he decided to leave Manchester United.

The 20-year-old left United because he was overlooked by Sir Alex Ferguson for a game against Blackburn in 2011.

The Frenchman has become a key player for Juventus since joining the club from United.

“I said to Ferguson: ‘Play me, and I will show you if I’m ready or not’,” he told Telefoot.

“Against Blackburn, on December 31, 2011, I was on the bench. Ferguson puts Rafael in midfield with Ji Sung Park. Then I gave up. I was really bummed.

“I joined Juve to silence people who have criticised me, who did not believe in me and said that I would fail.”
