Lazio keen to keep Man Utd and Napoli target

Lazio preesident Claudio Lotito insists that he is not interested in selling midfielder Antonio Candreva this summer.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from Lazio this summer, but the Italian side are not prepared to sell.

Manchester United and Napoli are two of the clubs interested in signing Candreva, but Lotito insists that potential suitors are wasting their time trying to sign the midfielder.

When asked about Candreva at a press conference, Lotito said: “He’s not for sale.

“Napoli? They have never called me, but if they do, I’d say he’s not for sale.”

Lotito added: “Lazio are the only club who have bought players without selling.

“We wanted to strengthen the team again. I can also say that we have achieved all the market targets we had.”
