Levein hopes for Ferguson return

Scotland boss Craig Levein is waiting on Barry Feguson’s reply after the former Dundee United manager offered the midfielder a return to the national side

Barry Ferguson was expelled from the Scottish National Team under George Burley following the ‘Boozegate’ affair with Allan McGregor.

“We still have plenty of time but I want to sit down with Barry,” Levein told the Scottish Mail on Sunday.

“The situation will be resolved in the next couple of weeks. In fact, it might even be this week.

“I’m hopeful he will come back but there are a number of factors involved.”
