Leverkusen rule out selling Arsenal target

Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen insist they have no plans of selling Germany international midfielder Lars Bender.

The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.

“We have no intention to sell Lars,” general manager Michael Reschke told Kicker.

“We have not received any bids for Lars,” sporting director Rudi Voller stated.

Bender’s current contract with Leverkusen is set to expire in the summer of 2017.
