Man City winger insists he did not dive

Manchester City winger Adam Johnson insists that he did not dive to win a penalty in Saturday’s win over Fulham.

Johnson won a spot-kick for City following a challenge from Chris Baird.

Johnson appears to dive when winning the spot-kick, but the winger insists he felt contact from Baird.

“I felt the contact,” explained Johnson. “Sometimes in normal time, when you are in the moment, you anticipate contact.

“There is a fine line between diving and anticipating contact but I felt it and went down. These things happen.”
