Man Utd keeper confirms retirement U-turn thoughts

Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has confirmed he had ‘second thoughts’ about his retirement.

The 40-year-old played his last Premier League game for United at Old Trafford on Sunday, as he plans to hang up his boots this summer.

He told Sky Sports: “You always have second thoughts.

“But now I am looking forward to Saturday (against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League). Let’s make sure we win.”

“It’s been a great six years. To play for a team like this at my age is unbelievable,” concluded the keeper.
