Man Utd set to hand Jones new deal

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to hand Phil Jones a big pay rise for his impressive form this season.

Jones still has three years left on his current contract with United.

United plan to offer Jones a new long-term deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2018.

Jones currently earns around £60,000-a-week, but the new deal is expected to see him earn £85,000-a-week.
