Man Utd star apologises to Fergie and team-mates

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Wayne Rooney has apologised to him and his team-mates for the recent day’s contract saga.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed on Tuesday that Roonoey had rejected a new deal and wanted to leave the club.

Rooney wanted to leave United due to the club’s lack of impact in the transfer market.

But Fergie insists he never wanted to lose the 24-year-old hitman and the striker has now signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.

“Wayne has apologised to me and the players,” Ferguson told Key 103.

“He will also do so with the supporters.”
