The 21-year-old has recently been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United.
“I’m very aware that I’m still young and have a lot to learn, but I would eventually like to play in Spain,” Rodriguez told the official Fifa website.
“It’s a league that I’ve always watched – it’s different from the English League, which is very physical.
“The game in Spain is more about technique, and about getting more touches on the ball. That’s why I like it so much.”
Rodriguez’s current contract with Porto is set to expire in the summer of 2016.
