The Swansea forward had been heavily linked with a place in the team for tonight’s friendly with Uruguay but was not selected by Vincente del Bosque.
“I have no problem with not being picked for the Spain squad, Michu told reporters.
“They have some really good and big players in the squad. I will need to work harder. I wasn’t disappointed. It is difficult to enter into the Spanish squad and play games.
“I have had no contact with [Del Bosque]. I’m not thinking about getting into the next squad right now, I’m only thinking about [Swansea’s next game against] QPR.”
