Milan were not up to it – Ambrosini

Massimo Ambrosini admitted that AC Milan were not up for it after they were beaten 4-0 by Barcelona in the Nou Camp last night.

Milan became the first team to exit the Champions League after winning a home first leg 2-0.

“It’s the end of a dream. We were not up to it tonight. We suffered from the start and it wasn’t the performance we needed,” said Ambrosini.

“It is a learning experience, one we gladly would’ve avoided. I can only hope it can serve us well for the future. Now our objective is to get back into the competition.”
