Mourinho looking for improved Real performance

Jose Mourinho is hoping his Real Madrid team will put on an improved showing when they face Manchester City in the Champions League tonight.

Madrid have lost two of four league matches already during a poor start to the campaign.

“The conviction is that tomorrow [on Tuesday evening] we will have a team. A determined, compact and solid team. I will try to field the team that I think will show up,” said Mourinho.

“Maybe we won’t be as relaxed, or filled with the same conviction and confidence we usually have against an opponent like City, coming off a game which was terrible.”
