Napoli turn down major Cavani bid

Napoli have rejected a bid from an unnamed club for their star forward Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan is key to the club’s title hopes and they are keen to keep him in Naples.

“Cavani is a warrior who embodies all that’s best of the Napoli spirit and our supporters. It is because of this I turned down an offer of 55 million”, De Laurentiis told Radio Marte.

“Cavani has become the symbol of our resurgence. If I have kept him here it is not because of money, but a love for the club.”
