Newell’s Old Boys crush Union

Newell’s Old Boys beat Union 5-0 on Monday to move a step closer to winning the Argentine Clausura.

Maxi Rodriguez scored twice in the crushing win, which edges them three points clear of River Plate with two games left.

“This is important because we had to recover from the defeat at All Boys. There’s still a way to go, we must win so as not to give River a chance,” coach Gerardo Martino told reporters.
