Leverkusen coach Skibbe hails Spurs striker Berbatov

Bayer Leverkusen coach Michael Skibbe says Berbatov is one of the best strikers in the world, and that he didn't want to sell him to Tottenham over the summer.

Dimitar Berbatov will face his old club in the Uefa Cup tonight.

Skibbe said: "He is one of the best strikers in the world, he has everything.

"He is strong, fast, good in the air, can play with both feet and scores goals. He can also see other team-mates in better positions than him.

"I didn't want him to go but he had given the club very good service."
