Reports have linked the 27-year-old with a move to Roma and the defender was reportedly tracked by Daniele Prade during Arsenal's game against Porto on Tuesday.

"It's not true that my client is close to Roma. Emmanuel is happy in England and he is in a good position. I don't understand why these things come out in Italy," Eboue's agent, Franjo Vranjkovic, told Romagiallorossa.com.

"Roma have not had contact with myself or our staff and I can say with assurance that the player is happy in England, and it's difficult to think he will move."
