The 21-year-old has long been linked with a move to Harry Redknapp's Tottenham.

Internacional president Vitorio Piffero said: "I think that the transfer of Sandro to Tottenham will be arranged immediately because we are very near to the end of the agreement.

"I think we will put pen to paper before next weekend.

"Personally, I think that nothing can change this because there has been a total agreement between all the parties involved in the negotiation."
