Man Utd set for summer clear-out

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is planning to shake up his squad next summer, as 10 players face the chop.

The Times reports that Ferguson is prepared to let up to 10 players leave the club this summer.

Ferguson had made the plans even before Wayne Rooney's statement that he wanted to leave Old Trafford.

Edwin van der Sar, Tomasz Kuszczak, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick, Michael Owen, Wes Brown, Gary Neville and Ji-Sung Park are all set to be on their way out of the club.

Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are yet to decide on their futures, but could decide to retire, even tough the club want them to sign new one-year deals.

Everton star Jack Rodwell, Sunderland ace Jordan Henderson as well as Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea and Aalesund ace Anders Lindegaard could be on their way in.
