Newcastle plan £7.5m bid for Man Utd striker
Newcastle United are reportedly ready to make a shock move for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.
The Sun reports that Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is ready to meet United's £7.5million valuation of the Bulgarian striker.
The Magpies are keen to bring in a big-name striker after selling Andy Carroll to Liverpool for £35million in the January transfer window.
Berbatov won the golden boot this season after hitting 20 league goals for United.
The Bulgarian striker did not even make the bench for United in the Champions League final against Barcelona and reports claim he is ready to leave the club.
