Vertonghen has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Bayern Munich and AC Milan.

"There is talk of a contract extension, but not much has been said," Vertonghen told AT5.

"Perhaps Ajax will find it to be a good thing when I leave, I don't know.

"But I think that in the future I could have a very good transfer."

Vertonghen's current contract with Ajax is set to expire at the end of next season.
