Carvalho, who underwent a medical in Italy on Sunday, will join Genoa from Brazilian side Figueirese.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Pescara until the summer. The centre-back will then link up with Genoa.

Genoa have also confirmed they have paid €4million to Juventus to acquire half ownership of Italian Under-21 international Ciro Immobile.

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi told Sky Italia: "Roger Carvalho? He's undergoing medicals, then his signing will be official.

"We have also defined the acquisition of half of Immobile from Juventus."
