Jones backs Man Utd team-mate for England recall

Manchester United star Paul Scholes has been backed by team-mate Phil Jones to earn a sensational recall for England.

Scholes has been a key player for United following his retirement U-turn earlier this season.

Jones said: "I donít see why not. They say these days you have to have a lot of pace but if youíre clever enough and you read the game well, I donít think age will be a problem.

"I remember playing in his testimonial at the start of the season and he was unbelievable.

"When you see him in training, the things he does, itís a joke. It wouldnít surprise me if he went to the Euros."
