Ajax had an option to extend the deal inserted into Booth's contract when he joined the club last November.

Ajax CEO George Comitis told Kickoff.com: "We have agreed to a one-year contract that has another year’s option.

"We are now just waiting for him to sign when he returns from Morocco, where he is on holiday, but the deal is done."
