Guangzhou Fuli confirms interest in Blackburn striker
Chinese side Guangzhou Fuli have confirmed an interest in signing Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu.The Nigerian striker hinted last month that he could leave Rovers this summer.
Yakubu scored 17 goals in 30 league games for Blackburn last season.
Guangzhou's deputy director Lu Yi told Jinghua Times: "Yakubu is our first choice and everything is going well now. We hope he will be in Guangzhou this weekend."
Yakubu still has a further two years left on his current contract with Blackburn.
