Montpellier confirms sale of Arsenal target is close
Montpellier deputy president Laurent Nicollin has confirmed that France forward Olivier Giroud is close to joining Arsenal.Giroud is expected to complete a £13million move to the Premier League giants.
"Discussions are happening and going well, as part of the (release) clause set. Things are moving serenely," Nicollin said in French newspaper Midi Libre.
The 25-year-old scored 25 goals for Montpellier last season.
