Man City and Man Utd target set for Spurs stay

Welsh winger Gareth Bale has handed Tottenham a massive boost by deciding to remain at the club for at least one more year.

The Mirror reports that Bale has told friends he is happy at the club and has no plans of leaving White Hart Lane this summer.

Bale's current contract with Spurs expires in the summer of 2015.

A source close to Bale told The Mirror: "Gareth believes Tottenham were unlucky not to get into the Champions League after finishing fourth and is happy to stay at the club for now.

"The chairman obviously has plans that did not involve Harry Redknapp and Gareth wants to find out what those are."

Barcelona, Manchester City and Manchester United are all reportedly interested in Bale, but Spurs are demanding over £40million for the winger.
