The Daily Star reports that Rodgers could decide to sell Skrtel in order to almost double his summer transfer kitty.

Manchester City are keen on signing the highly-rated Slovakian defender this summer.

Liverpool believes that selling Skrtel for around £20million would be good business for the club.

Skrtel's agent, Karol Cstonto, said: "Changes have been made at the club and Martin wants to know what the ambitions are."
