Everton defender keen on Fenerbahce move

Everton centre-half Joseph Yobo is hoping to complete a permanent move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Yobo has spent the last two seasons on loan at Fenerbahce, making 69 apperances for the club.

Everton are in talks with Fenerbahce over a transfer fee for the 31-year defender, who is contracted at Goodison Park until 2014.

"Moving to Fenerbahce was the best thing in my career," Yobo told the Liverpool Echo.

"I joined them because I was eager to win silverware. The 2011 Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup justified that. I hope my permanent move to Fenerbahce is concluded soon."

He added: "The Turkish league is more technical than the Premier League. The Premier League is more physical and the most popular in the world, but after playing for seven years in England, I think the Turkish league is of a better quality."
