Sunderland sign Aston Villa defender
Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Spanish defender Carlos Cuellar on a two-year contract.Cuellar joins the Black Cats on a free transfer following his release by Aston Villa.
The 30-year-old was signed for Villa from Rangers in 2008, while current Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill was manager at Aston Villa.
The 30-year-old was linked with the likes of Osasuna, Valencia, Galatasaray and Olympiakos.
